Mental Health First Aid,an international, evidence-based programthat teaches people to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges. Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed foradults to learn how to assist youthwho are experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge or crisis. You will learn: Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges in this age group, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders and attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD). Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges. How to interact with a child or adolescent in crisis. How to connect the youth with help. Expanded content on trauma, substance use, self-care and the impact of social media and bullying.

The pandemic has demonstrated a significant need from our community for mental health information and resources. As a result, since 2020 Camino Real has trained over 1170 community members and almost 3000 since 2014! We continue to bring this training to our community to help everyone start those difficult conversations around mental health.
