Camino Real Community Services is a Trauma-Informed Care Agency and implements the principles of Trauma-Informed Care.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The IT Director position reports to the Executive Director (or Designee) and is responsible for organizing, directing, and supervising the operations of the IT department for an agency of 300+ staff members. Performs highly complex technical services related o information technology with a strong emphasis on customer services and satisfaction. Assures technology support to staff across all agency programs and physical locations in the designated service area. Requires five (5) years of demonstrable technical skill and experience with network configuration, server configuration, troubleshooting, setting up of help desk functions, videoconferencing, and a variety of communication devices. Must possess, maintain, and implement current knowledge of federal and state regulations as it relates to IT security in a healthcare environment. Must possess strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Must have ability to research and secure external vendors for specialty technology services. Experience in seeking grants for non-profit businesses to enhance the agency’s ability to conduct business. Responsible for Cybersecurity and securing the integrity of the network. Must have supervisory/management experience that includes recruitment responsibilities and supervision of five (5) or more technical staff. Experience with the development of procedures that guide the department and are responsive to contractual requirements. Mus work together with the accounting department to manage assets. Experienced forecasting future needs of the agency as a whole and planning infrastructure and equipment effectively. Must have a Texas Driver’s License and be willing to travel for work related responsibilities. Requires dependability and consistency with work attendance. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in technical, business, or medical specialty including Computer Science, Network Security Health Informatics, and Business Information Technology.
- It requires five years’ experience working for a medium-size or larger organization (200+ staff members) and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of client server architecture and experience with relational data systems and programming functions, and application knowledge of microcomputer hardware, software, and programming languages. Must be able to drive or provide transportation if required by the position.
- Knowledge of Windows Update and Active Directory servers.
- Knowledge of business networking including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of standard office productivity, software such as Microsoft Windows 11 Operating system and Microsoft Office.
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in technical, business, or medical specialties including Computer Science, Network Security, Health Informatics, and Business Information Technology.
- Five (5) years’ experience as a supervisor running a technical department.
- Additional experience, technical/computer training, Professional Certifications (Comp TIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.), or related college course work.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Experience with the Texas Community Center system in IT position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Skill in communicating with users having differing levels of experience with information technology.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Has the ability to assess advanced technology available and guide executive management in the functionality of such technology and its implementation.
- Ability to work under conditions requiring physical stamina and ability to work in a stressful environment.
- Knowledge of the practices, principles, and techniques of computer operations, of information systems, of computer software and hardware, of information security policies and procedures, and of local and wide area networks, and database administration.
- Skill in the use and support of personal computers, in the use of applicable programs, and systems, and in troubleshooting information systems.
- Ability to operate information technology systems, to trouble shoot and repair equipment, to communicate effectively, to train others, and to supervise the work of others.
