GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Camino Real Community Services is a Trauma Informed Care Agency and implements the principles of Trauma Informed Care.
This position is responsible for performing clerical work and providing support to the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Provider Program. Work includes using a computer to prepare several reports, data entry into database system, and typing correspondence to individuals and families that we serve. This position is also responsible for any combination of clerical tasks such as properly maintaining a consumer database, service delivery data entry, creating consumer charts, filing, faxing, copying, documents handling confidential information, answering the telephone, taking messages, and sending out daily mail. This position is under the direction of the Community Support Director. This position requires a friendly demeanor as well as motivation and dedication to serving the needs of the individuals enrolled with our agency.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be eligible for the position:
Graduation from an accredited high school or GED, plus three (3) years of work experience in a field related to the duties of the position.
Each year (30 semester hours) of accredited college work in a related field may substitute for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis.
Must possess proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office programs.
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
English/Spanish skills; demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish.
Lives in service area.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to purchase supplies and equipment for the office, making sure processing of such occurs.
Ability to duplicate and collate materials by copying, scanning, and using the fax machine as required.
Ability to keep consumer database accurate by routinely updating it with current information.
Ability to enter all information from service provision notes into our database system.
Ability to log into the CARE database system to complete data entry.
Ability to enter accurate data into the state’s CARE system in a timely manner.
Acts professionally in association with staff and workers during business hours.
Uses appropriate and friendly speech when answering telephone or in conversation with customers, vendor/suppliers, and co-workers.
Answers routine inquiries, gives information, take messages for staff as needed.
Be a reliable support to the IDD Provider Program.
Be able to work in a team setting.
Have punctuality and regular attendance.
Must have ability to work under conditions requiring physical stamina and ability to work in a stressful environment.
Be able to know and comply with Facility Safety Program to contribute to a safe and non-injurious environment for staff, individuals, and visitors.
