GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Admin Specialist works under the supervision of and reports directly to the Clinic Director with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs the full range of administrative activities in support of the Frio mental health clinic, including receptionist and secretarial work, filing, communications, appointment scheduling, billing/reimbursement support, eligibility determination support, verification of insurance support, supplies and inventory control and ordering, routine office and telehealth equipment support, scanning and importing documentation in the Electronic Health Records, and other such duties. Duties include administrative support to all services and programs delivered within the Frio MH building. Constantly exercises vigilance in maintaining confidential files and reports. In general terms, supports an efficient office system and contributes to the Centerís stated purpose by performing administrative support and/or technical program assistance work.
Performs skilled motor vehicle operations. Operates vans or automobiles for transporting consumers, personnel, supplies, mail and other cargo. Work is performed according to prescribed rules, regulations and schedules. Compliance with written and verbal instructions while adhering to prescribed safety procedures is an integral part of the position. Maintains the upkeep of the company vehicles.
