GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The PRN LVN will serve as the LVN for the Crisis Residential program and is responsible for providing direct care services as needed to ensue ongoing operations of the facility. The main headquarters for this position is Eagle Pass, Texas. This position requires flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays generally 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am. This position requires excellent communication, written/interpersonal skills, ability to meet strict deadlines, and the ability to work in a residential crisis setting. Responsible for monitoring of medical and psychiatric issues, have excellent nursing judgment and be an advocate for the consumer within a team process. Duties include implementing a plan of quality physical and behavioral health care, as well as nursing services to the priority populations served by CRCS and advising senior leadership about the same. Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, document, and evaluate nursing care provided to consumers under the requirements of the Texas Nurse Practice Act. Maintains control of drugs and medications and may provide oversight to direct care providers. This position reports directly to the CRU Director of Nurses and receives clinical oversight from the Medical Director.
